THE HINGE

Now we come to the hinge that connects the two halves of the liturgy. That is, we now move from the Liturgy of the Book to the Liturgy of the Altar.

Based on what has been learned in the Liturgy of the Book we now begin to apply the Christian hope for change.

We make this change by moving from study to prayer—prayer that sanctifies both the people of the church (the Peace) and the work of the church (the Announcements).
